Introduce Mashumarosou

Hello, we are Mashumarosou, an ANKC-registered Shiba Inu breeder located in South Australia, Australia. Since 2019, we have been proudly involved in the ownership and breeding of Shiba Inus, with a primary focus on showcasing their excellence in shows. Each of our dogs is regarded as a cherished member of our family and is treated accordingly.

Our mission is to exhibit and breed Shiba Inus of exceptional quality, adhering closely to the standards established by the Nihonken Hozonkai (NIPPO) and ANKC. To enhance our breeding program, we have imported a stunning bloodline, including a NIPPO-awarded winner and FCI winner from Japan.

In our breeding endeavors, we meticulously make decisions to ensure the advancement of our program while mitigating any potential genetic issues or undesirable traits. Prioritizing the well-being of our Shibas, all our dogs and bitches undergo thorough health assessments conducted by government-approved veterinarians. Additionally, we invest in comprehensive examinations, including hip and elbow, eye, and patella tests, all of which have yielded results within normal ranges.

We are also registered as a Nippon-registered overseas kennel under the name Mashumaro. One of our notable achievements includes the ownership of a distinguished bitch who garnered accolades at one of Japan's most renowned dog shows (Nippo).

Our status as a DogsSA registered Breeder is validated under number 5100075882 (Please feel free to contact Dogs SA for verification).

International handling/ showing

We traveled to Japan to showcase our beloved Shiba Inu at the prestigious Japanese All Breed Champion International show (JKC Sakura Show 2024).

This experience provided us with valuable insights into Japanese Shiba Inu standards and handling techniques. It marked our inaugural venture into overseas Shiba handling. Asuka performed admirably in the indoor show, and we extend our heartfelt appreciation to our Japanese breeder and friend for their invaluable assistance.

Before Breeding….

When conducting research on Shiba Inus, one will inevitably encounter several common health concerns associated with the breed, notably hip dysplasia, patellar luxation, and cataracts. Hence, we ensure that all our stud dogs and bitches undergo thorough testing—including hip/elbow, patella, and eye exams—before being considered for breeding. The approved test results are diligently included in our puppy pack for transparency and assurance.

❤️Responsible breeders prioritize the health and well-being of their dogs. Before initiating any breeding, they conscientiously bring their dogs and bitches to government-approved veterinarians for comprehensive health examinations. Additionally, they conduct supplementary specific tests tailored to Shiba Inus, covering areas such as hips, elbows, patella, and eyes.

❤️Prospective buyers are encouraged to request access to the results of these health tests from the breeder. A reputable breeder will readily provide copies of the parents' health testing, as transparency is paramount in responsible breeding practices. It's important to acknowledge that while there are no flawless dogs, diligent health testing and examinations serve as indicators of responsible breeding practices.
